Davor sits on the IVSA Board of Directors in the position of Treasurer – where he is involved in representing and furthering the cause of the wine and spirits industry in Western Canada.

Mike Burns, Alberta Sales Manager

With a career in hospitality spanning nearly two decades, Mike’s love for fine food and wine formed early.  After years working alongside some of Canada’s most notable food and beverage professionals, Mike decided to pursue the wine life, and in 2012 was awarded his Diploma from the International Sommelier Guild.

Having led service teams at iconic Calgary restaurants including Teatro, Rouge, Rush and The Bow Valley Ranche, Mike showcases a true passion for customer service, along the way collecting accolades from Tourism Calgary, Wine Spectator Magazine, The Italian Trade Commission, Les Clefs d'Or Alberta, the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and more.  Mike has also participated as a retuning judge for the Alberta Beverage Awards.

Inspired by years of travel through the classic wine regions of Spain, France, Italy, California and beyond, Mike now focuses his attention on the business side of the wine trade. Following a four-year stint as buyer and Corporate Beverage Director at Teatro Group, Mike joined Dream Wines in 2021.

Afterhours find Mike holding court alongside his backyard grill broadcasting his love of Champagne to all in attendance, or enjoying a brief reprieve from the city, be it at the lake, ski hill or golf course.

Luc Renaudet, Alberta Account Manager

Luc has been on a lifelong journey in the wine industry, one that began in the Saint-Emilion region of France where he was raised.  After leaving France for opportunities abroad, he studied International Trading & Commerce at the University of Montreal Business School and gained valuable experience in the restaurant and wine industry before moving to Calgary in 2004.  He worked alongside Eric in the early days of Dream Wines, bringing his passion and experience into Calgary’s growing market.

He loves a good Bordeaux (of course!), but also has a soft spot for the wines of Burgundy & of Napa Valley, California.  His friends and clients know him for his charming French accent and for always being impeccably well-dressed.  He enjoys good food, cooking French cuisine, fly fishing and spending time with his 11-year-old son Julian.

Misun Bu, Alberta Account Manager

Originally from Jeju Island, South Korea, Misun graduated from Ewha Woman’s University in Fashion design in Seoul,  and traveled to many countries as a fashion designer, which gave her an opportunity to be exposed to international luxury trends.  However, a glass of wine shared with her husband boyfriend (husband now) changed her career when she moved to Canada in 2003. While working at iconic fine dining restaurants in Edmonton, Misun graduated International Sommelier Guild in 2009 also being invited as a guest Sommelier at the Post Hotel & Spa (Relais & Châteaux) in Lake Louise for their annual Wine Summit from 2009 to 2017. In September 2017, she joined as a full time Sommelier, then a Cellar Master until 2022 and curated a Wine Spectator’s Magazine Grand Award Recipient wine list and hosted numerous world class wine events.

Her nickname is “A gentle tiger” from a traditional Japanese Ju-Jitsu she had studied for a number of years. In summer time, she can be found on hiking trails in the mountains, at the flower bed or her organic vegetables garden at home and she enjoys traveling in winter. Most of all, she has an absolute joy to spend time with her husband and two German Shepherds and their kitchen always has the aromas of East Indian and Korean cuisine.

Bleddyn Jones, Alberta Account Manager

Bleddyn’s journey into wine started in his early twenties. Originally from Wales, he moved to London to study, and it was here, immersed in London’s culinary scene and surrounded by fine wine merchants, that his passion for wine took hold.

After graduating from Imperial College London with a Bachelor of Science degree, he started work in London’s music industry, where he worked for several years. His passion for wine remained just that, until he moved to Calgary, and he had the opportunity to turn his passion into a career.

Bleddyn comes to Dream Wines after nearly 10 years at J.Webb Wine Merchant, Alberta’s oldest independent wine merchant. As a manager, he was exposed to many aspects of the wine business, including wine buying, retail, wholesale, tastings, and events. He is WSET Level 3 certified and has traveled to several wine regions around the world.

Bleddyn is always trying new wines, partly because of his unrelenting curiosity, and partly to keep his palate in shape, but he certainly has a few favourites. He appreciates Nebbiolo in all its forms, the whites and reds of Rioja, and the classics of Burgundy and Bordeaux.

Outside of wine, Bleddyn likes to cook, camp, snowboard and play bass guitar. He lives in Calgary with his young family.

Robert Herman, British Columbia Sales Manager

As a Restaurant Manager and Food and Beverage Director, wine has always been a passion and he acquired his International Sommelier Guild Certificate with an extremely accomplished class in 2002.

Robert has been fortunate to tour many of the world's great wine producing regions and is always searching for small, terroir driven up-and-coming producers and regions. He even has his own wine label, has personally made a couple of his own wines and loves to collect and drink older, classic offerings.

Shannon Eert, Vancouver & Vancouver Island Account Manager

Shannon’s first flavour epiphany with wine was in Tofino, sitting on a hotel room floor eating pizza and sharing a bottle of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir with her Aunt and Uncle. That bottle changed her perspective of what wine could be, and she can still recall the flavours, more than a decade later. Ever since then, her life’s mission has been to create more of those “flavour epiphanies” both for herself and for her clients. Her passion for food, wine and hospitality has been honed over years of working in the restaurant industry and as the brand ambassador for a BC winery.  She joins the Dream Team having most recently been the wine buyer and sommelier at a West Vancouver restaurant.

Shannon is accredited by the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, completing level 3 with merit. She is also an Italian Wine Scholar, graduating with honours. Her favourite varietals are Grenache, Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. She loves nerdy wines, has a penchant for organic and natural winemaking and of course, she LOVES Champagne! Outside of wine, Shannon’s main passion is Formula 1. She has been following the sport since the 1990s and has been to multiple races. Her travel plans always include a wine region or an F1race, and at the best of times, both!!

Rina Lakhani, Marketing Manager

Rina was born and raised in Brighton, UK. Wine has been the focal point of her family meals since she was old enough to drink, or perhaps even a little before then. This early exposure sparked her wish to explore how wine embodies shared joy, love, and togetherness.

Rina studied History of Art at the University of Glasgow before pursuing a master’s degree in Museum Studies. Her marketing career began in a theatre and then transitioned into tourism at the Brighton i360.

Seeking new adventures, she completed WSET Levels 2 and 3 and moved to Vancouver in 2018. It was here that her wine journey truly began as she progressed from Wine Consultant to Assistant Manager & Wine Director at Legacy Liquor Store. Outside of working in wine, Rina has been... studying wine! She is currently completing the WSET Level 4 Diploma. She loves to travel and has visited Tuscany, Vinho Verde, and Napa.  Her current crush is salty, mineral-driven whites. She has an unconditional love for Champagne and is a sucker for a good martini.
